Pizza with Mushroom Cream Sauce, Corn, Ham and Basil!

Hello, Beautiful!
As you might have guessed by now, my video posts are far and away my favorite. Maybe because, in what sometimes feels like another life, I was a video editor for TV shows for 10+ years, and also just because I think they're fun to make, and I love to edit them!

However, for the greater good of all you food lovers out there, I could *not* let our latest creation slip by without sharing!

We didn't photo it to be a post, but I just had to share the fantastic-ness that is the 'mushroom cream sauce, corn, ham, and basil pizza'!

My husband started by making dough from this recipe:

To which he also added equal amounts of dried oregano, basil, and garlic powder.
It turned out quite good!
(Yes, we made three small pizzas that night, but I am just sharing the most interesting!)
He actually made the dough the night before, let it sit, kneaded it again,
and put it in the fridge till we were ready to use it the following day.

Here are some of our supplies for said pizza.

We fried up some ham...

Boiled some corn...

And layered the crust with Campbell's condensed mushroom soup as a base,
instead of traditional marinara sauce.
(No milk or cream were added, just use the condensed soup!)

Sorry this is blurry!
Once our corn was done, we just covered the pizza with it!

On top of that, we layered delicious, semi-crunchy ham!

Then, we topped it all with fresh basil.

Finally, we strategically placed fresh mozzarella on the pie, and it was ready to go into the oven!

We baked it at 450 for about 15 minutes or so - till the crust looked done,
adding a bit more basil half-way through.

As you can see, we wound up with a nice, crunchy crust, as well as crispy ham, sweet corn,
and a delectable, creamy, semi-sour soup as the base infused with mushroom flavor!

All these tastes played amazingly well together.

We cut the tiny pizza into even tinier pieces, and blew our own minds with how good it was.

I think we will definitely be adding this to our common dinner rotation,
because it's simple and utterly fantastic.

Give it a go, won't you?

Buon Appetito!
-Val!
