Cooking With Us - e38 - Nee's Fried Eggs

Fried eggs, spinach, and jalapenos

Hey guys!

Happy Monday!
(coughs)

To try and make your Monday a little more bright,
I am putting up a quick and simple recipe that
our friend Saowanee made a couple weeks ago as a side dish to her husband's Chicken and Pork Adobo, which I featured in our last update.

This is a really simple treat to prepare, and works just as well as a side dish as it would for
a breakfast omelet (or dinner omelet, if that's your thing!).

As always, please watch hi-res, full screen, and share!

As you can see, this is a gorgeous and simple dish!

Photo-essay, recipe, and transcript follow!
Also: I'm going to try to keep updates coming every Monday and Thursday - so, here's to that!
Cheers :D

Cooking With Us - e37 - Jim's Chicken and Pork Adobo

Hello, kumusta?
(how are you?)

Today on the blog - Jimbo finally got to make his Chicken and Pork Adobo!
He learned this recipe from his ex-girlfriend in the Philippines, and has been bragging about it
for over a year and a half!

It is pretty simple to prepare (if you don't mind chopping garlic)! And super tasty!

Please watch the video, as always, in Hi-res & full screen - and share, share alike!

Isn't that image just the cutest?
I definitely wanted to learn this recipe I'd heard so much about!

After the jump is a photo-recipe, a brief history lesson, and of course, the recipe and transcript!

Masiyahan kayo sa inyong pagkain ;)
(Enjoy your meal!)

Cooking With Us - e36 - Hamburgers

Aloha!

Theron's Burgers
And no, I haven't been watching too much Magnum P.I. (*coughs*).
OK, OK... My little cousin is in Hawaii right now and just took a flight on a replica chopper from the show, so maybe I have been binge watching that 1980's classic! ;)

Either way, that has nothing to do with these super-fantastic burgers we cooked up last week!
One of my 2 burgers!

These hamburgers were made the way my mom always made them when my sis and I were growing up (by putting stuff in the beef before cooking, of course!) Theron and I, however, have rather different takes on toppings.

That really doesn't matter when you're starting with such a great base, though - excellently flavored ground beef!

And since I decided not to slack today, a photo post will follow the video.

As always: Hi-res, full screen, and - please subscribe and tell your buddies!

Cooking With Us - e35 - Cornbread

Hello gang!,

I know it's been a while since we've posted one of these!  Sorry about that. We meant to do some in Europe and never got around to it. (Dining out was too much fun^^)

At any rate, we've eaten cabbage & potatoes with sausage twice since we've been back, and Tuesday Theron made cornbread from my mom's recipe/non-recipe ;)

Here is the video - in 4k taken with my Samsung Galaxy S6 - so definitely watch it full screen and Hi-Res :D

I am not going to do a photo post with this one like I traditionally do, because I edited it in Premiere and don't feel like dealing with it ;D

Yes, I know - I'm lazy!

Here is a photo of everything all together (cornbread slices on the left):

The recipe itself is pretty simple:
