After not having slept all night in Paris, then somehow
trudging our way up to Lilles, France, Vanessa and I decided
it was either time to go home, or go to Chesterfield,
England. We chose the latter, and have had a chance to
both slightly relax and also suffer a different type of
stress. We have, however, met many nice people here, and
found that the British are really not rude at all. Granted
we only trekked through London on our - rather pricey
- way to Chesterfield, even the people we encountered
there were, for the most part, friendly. We have been
in Chesterfield for about 5 and 1/2 days now, and are
hoping to depart tomorrow for places as of yet unkown.
The images on this page don't document the beginning of
our trip, because we first had to wait for a converter
to be purchased, and then for Vanessa to alter that converter
until it worked... which basically means she hacked the
hell out of it with a kitchen knife.
So to recap: Night 1 we arrived on the train and didn't
do much.
Day 1 we went to the grocery store and made dinner for
Tsai's friends.
Day 2 we went to get "chips" and hit the local
pub, then again made dinner.
Day 3, 4, and some of day 5 and 6 will be visible below.
Bigger pix to come soon.
